{"id":138,"date":"2020-07-20T09:21:49","date_gmt":"2020-07-20T09:21:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/displacement.sps.ed.ac.uk\/?page_id=138"},"modified":"2020-09-07T07:30:39","modified_gmt":"2020-09-07T07:30:39","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/displacement.sps.ed.ac.uk\/fr\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"A propos du projet"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>A propos du projet<\/h1>\n<h2>D\u00e9fis\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Les personnes d\u00e9plac\u00e9es sont confront\u00e9es \u00e0 de multiples obstacles lorsqu'elles recherchent des soins de sant\u00e9 dans des contextes de d\u00e9placement prolong\u00e9, ce qui fait que les probl\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 de long terme sont souvent mal diagnostiqu\u00e9es et mal trait\u00e9es ou soit non diagnostiqu\u00e9es et non trait\u00e9es. Les conflits et la violence bas\u00e9e sur le genre, en particulier contre les femmes et les filles, g\u00e9n\u00e8rent une demande soins de sant\u00e9 extr\u00eamement importantes. Ceux-ci ont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement re\u00e7u une attention consid\u00e9rable dans les contextes du d\u00e9placement prolong\u00e9, tout du moins pour les questions de sant\u00e9 physique.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale chroniques associ\u00e9s aux probl\u00e8mes plu physiques \u2013tels que le trouble de stress post-traumatique, la d\u00e9pression, l'anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 et les troubles de l'adaptation\u2013 sont n\u00e9glig\u00e9s et n\u00e9cessitent une attention urgente. De plus, la violence sexuelle et de genre contre les hommes, les gar\u00e7ons et les personnes qui s'identifient comme LGBTQI + souffre d\u2019un manque chronique de recherche. Associ\u00e9s au d\u00e9placement prolong\u00e9, les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 physique et mentale \u00e0 long terme ont aussi des implications sociales telles que l'isolement, l'abandon et la marginalisation. Ceux-ci peuvent augmenter le risque de voir les personnes d\u00e9velopper des strat\u00e9gies de subsistance risqu\u00e9es, y compris le travail du sexe, ce qui peut encore accro\u00eetre l\u2019exposition \u00e0 la violence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Contexte\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Eastern DRC and Somalia\u00a0have both experienced long-term conflict and displacement since the early 1990s, leading to large populations of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) within these countries and large refugee populations across the region.\u00a0Conflict and displacement in Eastern DRC and Somalia are characterised by high rates of sexual and gender-based violence, and victims are stigmatised through prevailing gender and sexual norms. Existing health research tends to focus on the immediate aftermath of violence rather than on long-term mental and physical health conditions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Sites de recherche\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0DiSoCo\u00a0project has eight field sites in\u00a0Eastern DRC, Somalia, Kenya, and South Africa. The four IDP field sites are one formal camp and one informal settlement each in Eastern DRC and Somalia, both of which have weak health systems.
